Couples and Marriage Therapy

Intensive Format
When your relationship demands immediate transformation, intensive therapy delivers months of progress in days. These immersive experiences unfold across 4-6 hour sessions, creating space for the deep emotional work that weekly appointments can’t match. You’ll decode entrenched patterns, rebuild trust, and emerge with genuine connection restored. For couples facing crisis or simply refusing to wait for change, intensives offer the focused breakthrough your partnership deserves.
An emotion-focused couples therapy (EFCT) intensive session is a concentrated, extended format that condenses what would typically occur in 3-6 months of regular therapy into a shorter, more immersive timeframe.
EFCT intensives typically last anywhere from one full day to 3 consecutive days. Sessions are longer than traditional 90-minute appointments, running 4-6 hours at a time with breaks.

This concentrated format can create momentum and breakthroughs more quickly than traditional therapy. Couples report feeling connected, having clearer communication tools and feeling hopeful/excited for the future by the end of the intensive. It's particularly helpful for couples in crisis or those who want to make significant progress quickly.

Intensives require significant emotional and time commitment from both partners. They work best when both people are motivated to repair the relationship and can handle intensive emotional work.
